“Although the weather was not the best for the first couple of hours of this tour, it was good to be able to see some of the Cretan hinterland. There were some great views and, unlike some other tours, the driver actually stopped at vantage points so you could take photos. We stopped at some little village that really had nothing going for it, but it did give those who wanted to the opportunity to visit a loo. A stop at a larger village gave us the opportunity to get a decent coffee, look in the shops, and see some of the sites - the main one being a fountain…”

“They are called experts for a reason. Everything was organized in the best possible way. Great staff, well-maintained vehicles. During the excursion there was also a lunch break in our case, we could choose between chicken gyros, pork gyros, or a vegetarian option. Definitely an excursion to do when in Crete. I suggest bringing a bandana to cover your face from the dust, as in the second part of the route there is really a lot of it. Anyway, they also sell their own branded ones for those who want.”

Tour started with a pick up from our hotel and we trekked through the mountains south of Maila through towns and villages learning about there way of life and history. So glad we decided to book, as we would have never done this on our own.
