The whole day was well worth it, Eleni our guide was amazing and explained a lot of history, Spyros our driver got us from A to B safely and efficiently, in a lovely luxury minivan. “An overall amazing experience! The buses were nice, had wifi, and were comfortable. Our tour guide had an amazing personality and was very knowledgeable. The views were breathtaking and getting to go in to the monasteries was amazing. Bring euros (5 euros to enter each one) and remember to cover your shoulders and wear a dress or skirt below the knee. Highly recommend this trip if you are in Greece!!”

“It’s a long trip but definitely worth it! We are a family of 4 with two kids, 14 and 8. We were picked up in coach on time from the meeting point. Then drove to Meteora. We met our guide there. The tour started with a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. There are 6 functional monasteries at Meteora, 4 male and 2 female. Because it’s winter and the close pretty early, we had the chance to enter two of them and see the others from the outside. The briefing before each one of them was great. Our guide there was wonderful! She was accommodating, patient, and the nicest ever.…”

“A ton of information and a very beautiful and special place. Worth the long train ride for sure. I was looking to kind of venture off a bit so perhaps a guided tour wasn’t the way to go. But even so there was enough time to kind of walk around and do your own thing even at all the stops. If you’re looking to venture then I’d probably suggest just taking a car up and down. Otherwise if you want a tour and lots of great information about this amazing place. Then highly recommend. Very glad I went.”

However, the part after the visit of the monaster was a little bit more challenging. Nothing crazy though. Overall a very good experience.”
